Alpha Phi Alpha's first alumni chapter, Alpha Lambda, was founded on April 11, 1911, one hundred years ago, in Louisville Kentucky. One of the fraternity's seven founders, Eugene Kinckle Jones, founded this historic chapter to promote scholarship, develop leadership, and uplift the downtrodden of mankind through service. Since 1911, the Alpha Lambda Chapter has remained committed to enacting and/or participating in programs which uplift and encourage the entire Louisville community. As you browse our web domain, please take a moment to review our yearly programs and activities, the fraternal calendar and quarterly newsletter publication, The Louisville Sphinx. Please do not hesitate to contact us for potential partnership opportunities.
