On March 11, 2016 during our monthly chapter meeting, the Alpha Lambda Chapter was privileged to present the local March of Dimes with a check in the amount of $2,500.00. This check, presented to Carolyn Harper, Louisville Market Community Director, was given as part of Alpha Lambda's 2016 fundraising effort for the annual Louisville March for Babies. As one of Alpha's longstanding national and local partners, the March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
For brothers who wish to continue to raise funds in addition to this amount, please join our team at www.marchforbabies.org/team/alphalambda. This is our team page where you can find information about the event as well as use social media tools to help you fundraise. In addition to fundraising efforts, Alpha Men also contribute by volunteering manpower the day of the event helping set up and break down. If you are interested in volunteering with the Alpha team, please contact Bro. Cecil Brookins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
